Daylee Abrams is a writer, poet, and creative entrepreneur from South Carolina.
Her writing is rooted in the belief that language can do what silence cannot—that the right words, in the right order, can reach someone in a room they built alone and remind them the door was never locked.
Her Own Fire began as a private collection of poems written during seasons of personal reckoning. What started as a way to process became a way to speak—not just for herself, but for every woman who has ever made herself smaller to fit into a space that was never built for her.
Daylee believes that work—like this book—is about the same thing: helping people remember who they are.
Her Own Fire is her debut chapbook.
She is already writing the next one.
